So today is the day that Weelicious Lunches hits store shelves! Yippee! I am in LOVE with the Weelicious website, and Catherine McCord’s first cookbook (Weelcious: 140 Fast, Fresh & Easy Recipes). I was so excited to get a copy of her new book to review a few weeks ago.

Weelicious Lunches

In the first section there’s great ideas about how to plan out your child’s lunches. From gorgeous photo spreads of the different food groups, like fruits, veggies, proteins, etc., to the ideas on reusing the leftovers from dinner. There’s ideas on how to package the lunches, like what lunch boxes they recommend & how to pack hot vs. cold foods. A great section of ideas for picky eaters, and a section on which recipes to combine for a great lunch. But an amazing section of the book is a section that is a chart that talks about food allergies and tells you with each recipe in the book and tells if it’s gluten free, nut free, egg free and dairy free. What an awesome resource!

The recipe section includes sections on salads, soups, sandwiches, pizza, pb&j, main events, veggies, dips & spreads, snacks and desserts. For the most part almost all the recipes have photos (which are beautiful and very graphic). They make you want to eat the book 🙂 I can’t wait to incorporate some of these recipes into our Baby & Toddler Food Tasting Parties this fall (and to pack some for my lunches)!

You can buy Weelicious Lunches at your local bookstore or on Amazon.com
